I think the core conflict of the city is somewhat boring. I think Chicago as a city is pretty bland, or at least the WOD depiction of it is. I had heard from a lot of gamers that it was the most thorough "by Night" book WW ever created and one of the best in terms of quality of material as well. So, I recently bought Chicago by Night 1st Edition.

I am one of those folks who is still fond of the oWoD take on Vampires even though V:tR replaced V:tM nearly two years ago.
